- Drive southeast on Ferry Road towards Sumner.
- At Ferrymead, continue onto Main Road towards Redcliffs.
- Barnett Park is on the left, just past Redcliffs School (at 211 Main Road, Redcliffs).
- Parking is available at Barnett Park car park.

- Drive west along Main Road towards Redcliffs.
- Barnett Park will be on your right before reaching Ferrymead.
By Public Transport
- Take Bus 3 (Airport to Sumner) from Christchurch City.
- Get off at Redcliffs Shops (near Main Road & Celia Street).
- Walk 5 minutes east along Main Road to Barnett Park.

- The trail begins at the far end of the Barnett Park car park.
- Follow the valley track past limestone cliffs until you reach Cave Stream
