Materials Needed:
- 1 sheet of A4 red paper
- 4 white squares (10 x 10 cm)
- 4 red squares (10 x 10 cm)
- 4 white squares (7 x 7 cm)
- 1 green rectangle (21 x 7 cm)
- 2 green squares (7 x 7 cm)
- A stick
- Scissors
- Glue (PVA glue recommended)
- Markers, stickers, or decorations
Instructions:
- Take the A4 red paper and fold one corner to make a square. Cut off the excess to form a perfect square.
- Fold the square into a triangle. Then fold it again into another triangle.
- Open the paper back into a square.
- Flip the paper over and fold it into a rectangle.
- Keep the last folded side facing up.
- Fold it back into a triangle.
Creating the Rose:
- Take the four white 10 x 10 cm squares.
- Draw a rose shape on one of them.
- Cut out the rose shape to use as a template.
- Take four 10 x 10 cm red squares and fold each into a triangle.
- Place the white rose template over the folded triangles and cut out two petal shapes from each.
- Glue the rose petals together at the right and left edges to create a 3D rose shape.
Adding the Hearts Inside the Rose:
- Take four 7 x 7 cm white squares and fold each in half.
- Cut out small heart shapes from the folded white squares.
- Glue the heart shapes inside the tulip petals.
Adding Messages & Decorations:
- Write a Valentine's message inside the rose and decorate it with stickers.
Making the Stem & Leaves:
- Cut out one green rectangle (21 x 7 cm).
- Take a stick and place it at one corner of the green rectangle.
- Start rolling the paper tightly around the stick. As you roll, you can remove the stick and continue rolling.
- Glue the edge down to secure the rolled-up stem.
- Use PVA glue to attach the green stem to the back of the rose.
- Take the two 7 x 7 cm green squares and cut out two leaf shapes.
- Glue the leaves onto the stem with PVA glue.
