 Explanation

  • Use "-er" for short words: big → bigger, small → smaller
  • Use "more" for long words: beautiful → more beautiful, interesting → more interesting
  • Use "-est" for short words: big → biggest, cold → coldest
  • Use "the most" for long words: beautiful → the most beautiful
